Video Lip Flap Test
So I decided to try out lip flaps.

What do I need to do to get better at them, or are they good as it is?

Video editor I used was Camtasia Studio 8.

Note: The black bar is because I screwed up with the export frames function on my video editor, and it looks like Moegi and Udon are dancing wildly.

I'm Chaossy....and that's all you need to know.

RE: Lip Flap Test
You need to isolate the lip flaps so only the mouth changes. The characters beside him are spazzing the fuck out and it's hurting my eyes.

What editing software are you using?

Yeah I gotta work on that.

Camtasia is the worst thing ever made. I only managed to edit one video in Camtasia before I started contemplating suicide. I'm amazed you even managed to do this much. I would switch to a better editor ASAP.

Thanks for all the good times.

RE: Lip Flap Test
I should use Sony Vegas 13 then. I haven't used it in a long time.

RE: Lip Flap Test
I should make mashups in camtasia studio...

But in your case Sony Vegas Pro 13 would be infinitely better.

My sole aim is for each of my posts to be looked at like...

Worry not; the abridged community can be dead to anyone, and rightfully so.

I love using Sony Vegas Pro 13.
Here is what it could look like if you've used Sony Vegas instead, as in the finished product, sorry if I make any confusion. (I know it's one of my videos, but it's the best way I know how to show how Sony Vegas works.) It took me about 4 hours to make it, but I'm extremely happy with the result. Although there's still some more that I would've done to fix it, like the little black bars on the top and bottom. As well as the little flaps that seem to be a microsecond off on the sync.

RE: Lip Flap Test
Thanks @Soda and @Dylan. I'll see what I can do better with an other test video next week or so.

That looks great, so I'll try to replicate that Smile

The best advice I can give is to just watch KaiserNeko's introductory and advanced tutorials on lip flaps, as well as 1Kids' excellent post on the subject.

Woo!

Woo!

That's pretty much how I edit, although mine is closer to how Mattroks101 edits, I think it's me spending so much time with him that I've developed his kind of editing...
Anyway... I think the best way to do it, is to experiment with all that you can do, then take some extra time to see how you can improve, and if there's limitations, then seek help, or just keep on trying to seek shortcuts/techniques that will allow a way past those shortcuts. Although at your level, I wouldn't recommend doing anything with photoshop, hell, I'm not going to do anything with photoshop.

RE: Lip Flap Test
The only photo editing software I know to touch is Paint.NET. Yes it may be "shit" or it's not good at all. It's basically Photoshop Extra Lite. But it gets the job done for me.

I'll experiment with it sometime this weekend, when I am not busy.

Again, thank you very much Dylan for helping me, and 1Kids said he will rework the post too.

RE: Lip Flap Test
I'd recommend GIMP 2 for photoshop-like programs, its a little subpar, but it's free and it is a lot easier in terms of a learning curve.

RE: Lip Flap Test
I have heard of GIMP. I'll try it out, and if I like it and it's easy, I'll continue to use it.

But I've been used to Paint.NET. I used it since late 2013/early 2014.
