Scene Editing for Dummies
Hello All!

So I went the extra mile while editing Familia Ment.

I really enjoy making small scene/custom frame edits, that are so natural that you wouldn't even know it wasn't a part of the original footage!

Here, I will be posting tutorials on how to make:

Lipflaps
remove characters and/or objects from background cells
add in frames
add in objects
Using PaintTool Sai

to name a few.

"But Duchess! Some of the lip flaps DIDN'T look natural!! You ding-dong!"

Yes, I know. That was due to laziness and stress. In the tutorials, I will show you "colour palettes" so the lip flaps and inside-mouth-colouring looks natural.

Things you will need:

Tablet (not required, but makes the job 100x easier)
Paint tool sai
a version of photoshop newer than 2005 versions (preferably)
pre knowledge of file types
pre knowledge of high definition screen captures

SO! Sit back! Get cha' tablets! roll up them sleeves! And let's get doodlin'!!

Here are the Scene edits/custom frame edits for Familia Ment EP 01.

[Episode Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viWORV24v8k&feature ]

*The scene where Bell was standing outside the Pub was a combination of: PaintTool Sai drawing and Sony Vegas cookie cutter layering

P.S I didn't include ALL the lips flaps I'd made, because there were too many, and kinda boring...

And if what that man did in his life, makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them believe deeper in something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized by the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory, of those who honor him and make whatever the man did live forever."

I remember doing something like this to make Shintaro's mussels more pronounced in episode 3 of Mekaku.

My Legend begins and ends with "Fuck You!"

Yer a wizard, Duchess. Can't barely tell what's original and what's doctored. Stupendous work.

And here we are! Tutorial numbero ....two!

Also, just a a little disclaimer:

I don't think I am perfect at all at what I do. I am still learning.

I am just showing what I know, as I learn new and better techniques, I will be sure to update the tutorials.

RE: Scene Editing for Dummies
For my group's #TIBA entree, I DID do more than the intro. I edited from Yusuke jumping through the window, to the end. (all but the sound effects... I hate sound mixing)

For continuity's sake, I had to erase Keiko form a lot of scenes and change Suzaku's facial expressions a few times. The hardest one (believe it or not) Was the half-body shot of Suzaku looking scared, and his eyebrows in the close-up. His eyebrows were a HUGE pain...
